18:00-20:30 (JST), 14:30-17:00 (IST), 10:00-12:30 (CEST), 02:00-04:30 (MST)

Organizers

Technology in Society, International Committee of Japan Society for Research Policy and Innovation Management、and India-Japan Forum on Environmental Technology

Mission

Technology in Society (TIS), an international academic journal focused on the global discourse at the intersection of technology and global social, political, and economic systems will celebrate its 75th volume in 2024.
In addition, the International Committee of Japan Society for Research Policy and Innovation Management (IC-JSRPIM) which pursues the international development of this issue has now held 300 monthly forums.
To commemorate these milestones, both TIS and IC-JSRPIM have decided to hold a pilot symposium focusing on India's decarbonization strategy given its position as a high-potential leader in the global south.
In consultation with Indian organizations sharing a similar view, an organization was developed called the "India-Japan Forum on Environmental Technology (IJFET)" for this symposium.
This organization brings together a diverse range of stakeholders towards decarbonization, thereby opening new doors of opportunity for research and the exchange of ideas and best practices through peer-level engagement in both countries and serving as a catalyst for the fusion of Japan’s manufacturing and India’s digital transformation (DX).
With your participation, we hope that this pilot symposium will have an impact on both countries and the world at large in developing climate change solutions.
